How to install your Mysignature in Gmail on Android app

4 steps~2 min
  1. 1

Important: set your signature on Gmail Web, not in the app

The Gmail Android app does not have an HTML signature editor. Its built-in "Mobile Signature" field only accepts plain text. To get a fully formatted HTML signature on Android, you must set it on Gmail Web at gmail.com — it will then sync automatically to every device where you use that Gmail account, including Android.

On a computer, open Gmail and go to Settings

Visit gmail.com in a desktop browser. Click the gear icon in the top right, then click "See all settings".

Paste your signature HTML and save

Paste your copied Mysignature HTML into the editor, then click Save Changes at the bottom of the page. Set it as the default for new emails and replies. Your signature will now appear automatically when composing emails in the Gmail Android app.
